Maxwell began tweeting as maxwell museums in 2014. In the following 9 years maxwell museums has grown into a highly respected mutli-channel news source. 

 

Maxwell's museum career began in 2009 as a volunteer at the Museum of Brands in West London followed by stints at the Science Museum, the Museum of the Home and the National Portrait Gallery. For the past decade he has specialised in press and communications, working for Sir John Soane's Museum and the British Museum.

Maxwell has written about museums for publications including National Geographic Traveller UK, blooloop.com and Jing Culture.
